I am now jumping into the used car market and was about to grab a 2003 e500 benz, but luckily yesterday after reading up on the benz forum I discovered that for the first few years the 2003 - 2006 Eclass has had massive issues with its electronic brake system, and I have read too many horror stories of people cheating death that I cannot safely put my family in a car like that. I mean can you imagine having brakes failing after you get your recall repairs done...or having brake failure at 70mph...maybe im too picky for wanting brakes that work on a 300+hp car.

sorry for the rant...I wanted to pick the brains of the people here and ask are there any parts on this car that are really common to fail, or degrade early. I just dont want to end up in a death trap type of situation. From what ive read most people like the 2nd Gen GS and my cousin actually has a 3rd gen which is why im considering this lexus as its also in my budget.

thanks for any feedback :D
