texas ls
Where can I find a listing of what is new on the 2010 LS460?

kweber
Check out the Lexus website...There are a number of improvements... Like what? I don't see any listing of improvements. Specifically, does anyone know what has changed from the '07 460? (other then the availability of AWD, which I plan on getting).
SW03ES
The front end is new, as are the rear lights and bumper. New wheels and colors, several interior trim changes. The new LS460 Sport model... I actually prefer the 07-09 LS460 personally.
Lexusfreak
I kind of like the 2010 improvements actually....it's too bad the sport model isn't offered in AWD.
SW03ES
I saw it at the car show today. They're growing on me...its a little angular and I wasn't totally thrilled about how the angular new bits meshed with the smooth basic shape. The 2010 has a matte wood option which is very sharp... Lexusfreak
The 2007 & newer LS 460's now have a timing chain as opposed to a timing belt correct?
SW03ES
I'm not certain, but I have heard that.
rwallican
I was told at the dealership that ALL Lexus vehicles 2007 and newer have a timing chain and not a belt. This means no $1500 bill at 90k miles!!! The salesman explained that they switched to a belt in the first place because they were quieter than chains. This new chain is insulated somehow and is nearly as quiet as a belt. He also said it was in response to a lot of Lexus customers complaining about the expensive service to replace them. lex460
I suppose with the direct injector noise they figured whats a little chain noise. The older engines are definitely quieter. By a long shot..
