iralynn
The microphone for the VR/phone in the 2010 rx 350 is in the ceiling console where the map light switches are located. When the vents are pointed upward the microphone picks up the "wind noise" and makes others with who you are speaking, have a difficult time hearing you. The answer from Lexus was..... change the position of the vent and/or lower the fan speed. This seems like a poor design to begin with. How about additional microphones one in front of the driver and one in front of the passenger. Anyone else having VR problems?
cduluk
The position for the microphone is in the same spot in the Rx400h, i agree it's a bad spot. Some car makers put it in the steering wheel which i think is perfect.

Yeah, I never liked the VR microphone position. I sometimes find myself looking up (away from the road), trying to speak directly into the microphone when on the telephone, and others say that they can't hear me very well.. <_<
