Theres only 2 options Power and Normal, and im pretty sure the power option is for a exactly that, power. Maybe faster accel or speed, but nothing im able to make a difference with. Actually acceleration from a dead stop is faster in Normal mode. from a roll though the ECT lets it hang on to gears longer for slightly better performance if your foot is realy in it. amcdonal86 Posted September 29, 2009 Share Posted September 29, 2009 In my '97, the biggest difference is that the car is much less reluctant to downshift if I step on the gas at speed. I often use this feature when I need to accelerate quickly off a ramp. (With the 4 speed, the car is damn reluctant to downshift unless I put it in PWR mode!) MIght it not work at all maybe??lol thnaks If it is the switch I am thinking about(my car is getting an oil change), it does effect the rpm that the car shifts at. It is sort of a subtle difference.
