Cruise Control Won't Work

I have a 2002 RX300 with about 60,000m on it...only issue is the cruise control doesn't work for me.

Shows "on" when activated but won't hold a speed or "hook up"....any thoughts ??

The first place to look is the brake light switch. Have you checked to see if your brake lights are constantly on? If so, you have a faulty switch. Other that that, there is a vacuum line to the cruise control servo under the hood. If that line is broken or has a bad leak, you would also experience the same symptoms. Of course if that line is broken, you should also be getting a rough idle because of a too lean fuel mixture.

Checked for the brake lights and they work as they should (they aren't "on" all the time)

No rough idle so likely not a vacuum line...

Any other thoughts ?...its inconvenient but not a big deal.
