I noticed a small scratch on the side of my car. It wasn't deep...more like a simple paper cut to my car. Really hard to notice but my cousin decided to use a touch up basecoat paint pen on it and it made it worse. Now, it looks like a smudge. Like someone took a simple marker and squiggle on it :o I don't want to make it any worse. What should I do? I don't know much about paints and I refuse to let my cousin do anything more to it.

If it is just a small scratch and not down to the metal the best thing would be to try to have it buffed out. You may want to use a product like scatch x and see if you can remove it, it might even take off the touch up paint.

You may get some more help if you posted a pic by the way.

Good luck.
