Premature Tire Wear

I bought a used 2005 RX330 with 29K miles. One year and 14K miles later I replaced the 2 front tires with the same Cooper Zeon Sport A/S 's, assuming they had not been new when the car was purchased. 1 year later and 13K miles I moved those tires to the rear. Today, those 2 tires are 15 months old with 16K miles and they are shot ! One is worn fairly evenly and the other is worn not so evenly. The car is used mostly around town. Has anyone else had this type of experience and could there be suspension problems that may be affecting the tire wear ?
