Sunroof Explosion

While driving my '06 GS300 in near-100 degree temperature at 65mph the sunroof suddenly exploded with a big BANG. I first thought it was a tire blowout, but when I pulled over and stopped I discovered a large hole in the sunroof glass and the rest of the glass was fractured. I didn't see anything strike the glass before it happened. Anybody heard of a similar incident?

no I haven't heard of this. Was your AC on full blast cold? just curious.

check you insurance. sunroofs may be covered under glass and safety depending on your policy.

any chance you passed under an overhead? maybe someone threw someting over and it just happened to hit your sunroof.
