jcord51
I just bought this car used and really enjoy it. Unfortunately there isn't much information on it's navigation setup. I have the leaflet and the cd rom but they only answer general setup questions, so I know that I must be missing out on something else. BTW I so far I find that the Garmin 660/750 are easier to use than the factory GPS, I also miss the cartoon like look of the Garmin. My wife has asked if the new version 8 have any improvements over my 4.2 version? If so is it worth the upgrade costs? Is there a pdf site where I can get the Navigation manual? Here is another question, how do you delete previously traveled points from it's memory?
curiousB
I think the only change is that the map database is updated so from a look and feel nothing changes. Just new street and POIs are more current. Unless you have problmes with maps not accurate for where you drive I wouldn't bother. I have been using maps I got in Dec 2003 and no that much has changed.
Robert Young
I think if your register the car with Lexus that you can download both operating manuals. If that doesn't work, the Toyota site http://techinfo.toyota.com/ has everything about the car, but there is a small charge for access. There is a lot of info in the manuals that is not covered on the CD/DVDs.
