Ebonixx Posted January 14, 2004 Posted January 14, 2004 Hi, i have an SC300 and was wondering if it has a Timing Belt, or a Chain. I have almost 190,000 miles on it and I am getting a new radiator and water pump installed this week. I probably need a timing belt as well, but I need to know if it's belt or chain. Thanks Eb
Ebonixx Posted January 14, 2004 Author Posted January 14, 2004 Cool, know where i can get one cheap? eb
Bandit Posted January 14, 2004 Posted January 14, 2004 What is the web address for JP Importz? If you go to www.jpimportz.com you get a Betty Boop and doll sight.
AWJ Posted January 14, 2004 Posted January 14, 2004 There is a hotlink banner at the top of the page bro. But here is the link: http://jpimportz.org/ Good luck.
Ebonixx Posted January 16, 2004 Author Posted January 16, 2004 Thanks, i just got a new radiator, water pump and timing belt put on my car for about 400 bucks. (not including parts, cept the timing belt)... Its on its way guys. 190,000 miles.... wonder what breaks down next.
JPI Posted January 16, 2004 Posted January 16, 2004 On the timing belt and water pump. I would suggest that you use all the OEM parts. I see aftermarket pump give out in 15k miles. Good luck. www.jpimportz.org
Masubi Posted January 20, 2004 Posted January 20, 2004 I hope you are not doing it yourself if you are asking this question. STAY AWAY!!! btw, if you are performance thinking, go with the greddy belt.
Ebonixx Posted January 20, 2004 Author Posted January 20, 2004 thanks guys. And no way, i am not mechanically inclined when it comes to cars. Can't grasp it. I got a shop to do it all for me. And i'm having issued with the waterpump. Its making alot of noise, causing rumbling. they said its because it may have been on the shelf for a long time Or it could just be bad, which means mo money for labor! rrrrr. love my car, but jeez, seems to never end... later Eb
