ArmyofOne Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 Oh God...LOL Looks like you have a contender Blake! This guy (friend of mine) is an Inter-state courier for a medical supply company. Racks up a thousand miles a day, sometimes more. Way to go! Same car/same engine as mine, just a different color.
dcfish Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 So the guy drives an average of 12 hours a day ??? It is totally illegal.
ArmyofOne Posted May 9, 2009 Author Posted May 9, 2009 So the guy drives an average of 12 hours a day ??? It is totally illegal. umm...no? it isnt illegal. Not in the states unless you are a commercial truck driver.
dcfish Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 OK, Still is very hard to beleive that any one person can/would drive that milage on a daily basis. I have a difficult time swallowing those miles................
ArmyofOne Posted May 10, 2009 Author Posted May 10, 2009 OK, Still is very hard to beleive that any one person can/would drive that milage on a daily basis. I have a difficult time swallowing those miles................ Dude, do the math, its 342 miles a day bro. That isnt that bad. 8hrs or so a day, 6 days a week.
dcfish Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 "Racks up a thousand miles a day, sometimes more. " UMMMM!!!! A Thousand miles a day ???? I really do not think that is happening.
ArmyofOne Posted May 10, 2009 Author Posted May 10, 2009 "Racks up a thousand miles a day, sometimes more. "UMMMM!!!! A Thousand miles a day ???? I really do not think that is happening. from Iowa to WV to Kentucky to Indiana, Illinois and back to Iowa. He does this at least once a month. That was an inaccurate statement, he doesnt average a thousand miles a day, but he does put a thousand miles on his car some days, sometimes more.
dcfish Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 A 1k trip driving the speed limit would average a 18 hr. trip............... :o
SW03ES Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 I could believe an 18 hour trip... Remember private drivers, even commercial drivers aren't bound to the laws that govern truck drivers.
jcrome04 Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 Me and my sister made it from Port Angeles, WA to Los Angeles, CA In about 19hrs. Well over 1000 miles straight down I-5 B)
ArmyofOne Posted May 29, 2009 Author Posted May 29, 2009 To put it into perspective: this guy has been to the moon, and is halfway back...
