If my memory serves me, make sure the display shows your odometer mileage and not your trip odometer miles. Turn the ignition key off, press and hold down the button that switches between odometer and trip mileage then turn the ignition key to the on position. Keep it held down for a few seconds and a message will come up on the display stating its resetting the maintenance reminder.

I know this instruction is in your manual somewhere too...
