bigo Posted January 10, 2004 Share Posted January 10, 2004 I have a 93 ls400, 135,000, when I kick it in passing gear and rpms get above 3000, I get this rythmic vibration in transmission area, the same thing happens if I am going down a long hill and I down shift to low, rpms go over 3000 and I get this terrible vibration like a bad u joint or torque converter or what else could it be???????thanks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
tds Posted January 15, 2004 Share Posted January 15, 2004 I had a similar problem with my 91 LS400. When I accelerated, I had a vibration. I thought that this was an ignition miss, so I had the spark plugs replaced. It made no difference. I then installed 4 new tires and the vibration went away.
