This thread was about LS400 and curtains !!!! How has it developed into this mess ????

 I was wondering the same thing.......................

LOL Me too :D

But it is entertaining me so I'll allow it in my thread :D :D haha

Python all I'm seeing from you is biased tales.

If you could "go on and on" with tales of how horrible ONLY Fords are... . . .. WHY DON'T YOU?

And I don't think SW needs any pointers for ANYTHING  hahaha

Remember Python there's no need to get personal or defensive here.

Just debate it.

Link 1: We're not talking about the Windstar minivan or the Taurus...also the last time that transmission was used according to that article was 9 years ago.

Link 2: What does a TSB for a torque converter shudder in Mustangs, Crown Victorias, Thunderbirds (which they don't even make anymore), Cougars (don't make those either) and Town Cars from 1992-1997 have to do with a F series truck? Again, we've posted dozens of TSBs for Lexus products on this board that are more serious than this. A TSB is a manufacturer telling the dealer how to fix an issue, they're a good thing. Again, we're not talking about Ford 15 years ago, some of us buy and drive vehicles that are not so old they can get driver's licenses themselves.

Link 3: Again, we're not talking about the Ford Explorer.

Link 4: Again, we're not talking about Ford from 8 years ago.

You're talking about all these experience yet you refuse to tell me about all the stories you have from your advanced experience in the auto repair industry (it really shows) where you have seen Ford F series trucks, that aren't old enough to have drivers licenses themselves, with failed transmissions. Share with us.

Google Lexus RX300 and transmission failure. Look, nobody is saying that Ford hasn't had quality problems, of course they have. What I'm saying though is that owning a Ford doesn't mean its going to explode in your face. I've owned Fords...haven't exploded in my face. Would I rather own a Toyota or Lexus? Sure. However, Ford has made great strides in the last couple years...

I still wouldn't mind hearing your professional experiences with F-series trucks either...

I could search for links on Google all day of how crappy Lexus LS400s are too :)

Ford today is NOTHING like the Ford of yesterday... If I wanted to buy a new American car I'd only buy a Ford.
