Another 1st Gen Ps Vacuum Valve Repair

Recommended Posts

Instead of replacing the idle up vacuum valve on the PS pump with a plug, I went to the local Pic A Part and paid $1.50 for one off of a truck (they are common in the Toyota line) and installed it without any problems i.e. no smoke, no leaks and a properly operating PS system. The valve is slightly different in that it is a little bigger and is made of metal not plastic. I chose the truck because the pump is located up high and easy to get to.

Hope this helps
