slorandy
I have a '93 LS400 with 145k mile. When I was making a u-turn the other day I had the steering wheel turned all the way to the stop. After this I noticed it was very hard to steer at low speed (parallel parking is almost impossible). I took it to my mechanic who ran through the diagnostic manual and came up with the problem as being the Pressure Control Valve which is attached to the P/S rack. It sounds easiest to replace both the rack and PCV but it is rather expensive. The request for help that I have is: 1. Does it sound like a PCV valve ? 2. Is it possible to buy a replacement PCV and not replace the rack (for less $$$)? Thank you in advance, Randy
LScott400
I would try cleaning the solenoid screen first. Links with pics in the following post: http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...ost&p=72657
pawan
I would try cleaning the solenoid screen first.Links with pics in the following post: http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...ost&p=72657 I have 94LS400. The link has been very helpful, but I already got once the PS fluid filled two months back and now the noise from the PS is back again. I am not sure what to do, should I go for cleaning the solenoid myself, or get it to a mechanic. Please advise.
