John Dawson Sr
Hello, I just bought my first Lexus, a 2006 IS250 AWD, 35k miles. Awesome car! I would like to do some minor maintenance myself. What is a good source for parts like engine air filters, AC air filters, Etc. Also, where can I get a Factory Service Manual? I know all these things are available from a dealer but that is about 50 miles away. Are there third party sources? Thanks.

nutinwrong
Here's a tip. Be careful when you replace your cabin air filter. If the fresh air door is closed, do not try to open it by hand. You would be surprised how easy it is to break it. Push the fresh air/recirculate button to open it.

Unfortunately, it came too late. I already broke (I think) the fresh air door. Now that the fresh air door is broken, what can be done to fix it? If the door is closed, is that the fresh air or the recirculate position? Thanks again. JohnSr
