Roburb Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 I had my oil changed recently, this time it was not at the dealer. However, I can't get the "Oil Maintenance Required" light to shut off. Does anyone know how i can make this happen? I have gone into the maintenance section on the screen and reset the dates but that didn't work. Any help would be greatly appreciated .. Thanks
BillyShaft Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 Hey Roburb, Your manual has a blurb on how to get that done. It has to do with holding the ODO button while you turn on the ignition. Sorry I don't remember offhand the specifics on how to do it, I just break out the manual when the time comes.
BillyShaft Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 No kidding right? oh no...not Jiffylube? :cries:

BillyShaft Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 oh, and it must be in odo mode not trip A or B Good Luck!
IS250_rookie Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 to get to Ignition mode, you gotta press the starter button twice
bartkat Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 If people read their manuals we'd lose half of this forum.
tex2670 Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 I'd be a little concerned if I had my oil changed by someone who didn't know how to clear the oil maintenance alert! I've had the dealer forget this. I'm not surprised the neighborhood mechanic doesn't/forgets to do it.
