How Can I Make My Is250 Perform At Its Best?

Recommended Posts

I too would be interested in independent dyno data on this.

I have seen CAIs that dyno 1-3 HP on various applications, mostly on applications that are under-tuned from the factory, but they redesign the intake for efficiency and pull colder air into combustion.

I am finding it hard to believe a filter alone without a more efficient air intake system will gain anything. Even the vastly superior AFE cone filters do not allow these types of gains.

Quick and easy test:

1. Make a couple of runs up and down the street with a clean Lexus air filter.

2. Remove the filter.

3. Make a couple of runs up and down the street.

4. Put the filter back in.

5. Marvel on how the experiences are shockingly similar.

Take out every 5000 or so miles and drive several miles in 3 or 4 gear at 4500 rpm. That will keep the cobwebs out of it.

I'm interested in the spiders that make these "cobwebs".... ;)

Are they Black Widow type, or perhaps the Brown Recluse?? B)

Please explain these "spiders"?

Spiders make spider webs.

Cobwebs come from lack of use and lack of cleaning

Cobwebs could be considered an lesser version of dust bunnies.

Geez... it's amazing what you can learn on the web!! :) All this time I thought those cobwebs in the corners of the ceiling were made by an old spider with butt dribble?? And... dust bunnies we're made by little invisible bunnies!!

It's not surprising to me that you young whipper snappers would think that.
