hombre
Hi. I have recently had my 1995 LS400 in for a timing belt change and now it won't start. The mechanic removed the neg lead on the battery and the immobiliser won't allow the car to start. The only problem is I have neither key fob or immobilser key. I only have the ingnition key. Is there anything I can do to get round the immobiliser? Thanks
toymotor
Same problem here, except it was the starter that was replaced. Have tried this. http://www.fixya.com/cars/t1239772-1990_le...no_check_engine ..and some key tricks involving opening and closing doors locking and unlocking and generally dancing like a monkey. still nothing.... ...I called Scorpion (the company is gone but they still have support in the UK on +44 01257249928) no joy there either, they said hold the black button on the remote for 10 seconds. doesn't work. next I'm calling Lexus in hope of some inspiration. Anyone got any pointers/had this problem?
AzHotLS
Hmm, not sure if this will help, but I found this: http://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls400-foru...wont-start.html Are you sure you have an immobiliser? I'll have to check my 95. According to the link above, only 97+ have them. This thread seems to confirm it: http://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls400-foru...mmobiliser.html and this: http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...showtopic=53379 hombre, your mechanic must not have connected something back correctly. Something else is causing your car not to start.
