toothmkr57 Posted December 14, 2008 Share Posted December 14, 2008 Hello, I have recently purchased a 94 gs300 and every time I open the trunk, I literally have to strain to open it. I mean, I'm a big guy, and generally don't take issue with heavy lifting, I've never had a trunk lid be so heavy. Is this normal, what gives? djspawn00 Posted December 14, 2008 Share Posted December 14, 2008 sounds like the previous owner may have removed the spring that assist in opening the trunk and holding it open... was there a custom speaker box in the trunk before... i say spring but its more like a bar...
