silverstatic Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 My car won't start after i changed the timing belt and water pump and distributing rotters(no new spark plug or wires because i can't afford them :( ) it almost starts every time i crank it, its like maybe 1 second off from starting. any idea what it might be? i have to jump it cause my batts dead, and I'll try to record it if anyone needs it. please help me. thanks in advance. :)
landar Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 Well Silver, this is a rather wide-open question. If it ran properly before you performed the work, I would carefully go over all of your timing again. Check your cam and distributor timing and any sensors that were disturbed. The good thing about the 91 valve clearance is that a misaligned cam wont trash the engine. Misfire and start an engine fire maybe...but what are the odds? :o
