detroit572 Posted December 29, 2003 Share Posted December 29, 2003 Being a teenager, I dont have all the $$$ in the world to spend on gas, so I was wondering if it is harmful to your car to put anything lower than premium into your car. I know it says Premium only but what effects would it have on my car if I chose to put lower octane in it. Some cases, this is 10-15 cents cheaper a gallon so is it completely neccesary to pump premium gas into your car??? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

But in the long run that will cause sludge, carbon build-up, poor performance, and lots of other problems. Those problems will cost you big $$ in the long run. I, personally wouldn't do it.
