Brian_C Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 Hi all, Just want to ask if any of your ECT Power button has a backlight same as the VSC off button does, when you turn on the headlight? As my ECT Power button got no light and i suspect it is burnt. Just want to get some information as reference. Thanks

djspawn00 Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 all of mine are burnt out.... <_< sometimes i hit that switch trying to turn on the seat heaters...
GuyTelefunken Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 The bulbs are available from Lexus. Be sure to specify which switch and function. The heated seat switches have separate bulbs for the orange dot indicator and the green backlight.

The heated seat switches have separate bulbs for the orange dot indicator and the green backlight. However, i tried to take out the ECT power button and couldn't see any way to touch the bulb for the ECT power button. Is the button available for disassemble? The button is like a black little box....with a connector
GuyTelefunken Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 Remove the ashtray, pry up the wooden shiftgate trim towards the back. Disconnect all connectors and remove the trim. The switches come out from the back. Using a small flat screwdriver between the switch body and the cavity in the back of the trim, the switches will drop out of the back. The bulbs can then be accessed.
djspawn00 Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 considering i remove this panel more often than i should... i really should change the bulbs next time i'm in there... i guess I'll just have to make that trip to lexus for new bulbs though....
Brian_C Posted November 9, 2008 Author Posted November 9, 2008 thx all, i have accessed to the bulb already and will go to lexus to get the bulb tomorrow. Great forum..
sakataj Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 r these bulbs available at any place else besides the stearlership
GuyTelefunken Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Possible. It probably isn't worth the trouble to look though. They are fairly specialized yet inexpensive at the stealership.

djspawn00 Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 I went to the dealership today but for some reason they said they were having computer problems and couldn't look up the parts... Anyone know the part number so I can call up another Lexus dealership and save the hassle.
