lexfourcam Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 well i noticed when i got the headers from s&s they didnt have a place for the egr pipe. i talked to the master mechanic at lexus and he said other than the check engine light being on and gettin about 2-3 mpg less it shouldnt affect the way it runs. tomorrow it should be finished. good thing i had a 94 it didnt take long at all to get them installed. the newer models its a pain b/c the engine has to be pulled.
SKperformance Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 only the gs has to have the engine moved not removed.
lexfourcam Posted November 7, 2008 Author Posted November 7, 2008 well this mechanic that was installing them told me they wouldnt fit because of the steering column? sooo.... ive taken it to a shop that's owned by one of my friends relatives so hopeully i'll find something out
jcrome04 Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 Maybe find a tech that knows what's going on????? hahahaha B)
lexfourcam Posted November 10, 2008 Author Posted November 10, 2008 yea so the flanges are apparently too big which is likewise b/c they're too big for the resonators soo we're gonna cut the flanges the size of the resonators and knock all of the restrictive *BLEEP* inside of them and then hopefully it will all fit like it should.
jcrome04 Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 The things that attach directly to the headers are cats NOT resonators.
