Whining Noise At Start (first Gear?)

On my 2001 RX300, I hear a high pitched whining noise coming from the front of the car when i start driving. Once i drive 50 ft, the car seems to shift and noise goes away.

Is this an indication of transmission issue? Or something else.

Noise is not present or not audible at any other speeds.

Is the A/C on?

I have not tested specifically with A/C on/off.

I will do so and report back.

But if i remember correctly the A/C should be off.
