New Ls430 Owner On Board

Hello Owners Club!!!

I recently purchased a 2001 LS430 w/ 110,000mi, NAV, ML and 17in chrome rims locally for 13k.

The tires (Michelin Pilot Energy) are under warranty with Discount Tire. The breaking system had work in 2005, pad replacements and rotor turns are under warranty as well. New Interstate battery from Sams in 2007, under 60 month warranty.

She rides like a gem and all gadgets are online. Given the mileage, what should I be looking into maint wise to have done? Also, both front door speakers are blown; where can I purchase the ML speakers at other than the "stealership"? Can I replace the front two with aftermarket speakers? I've already ordered the LED 04-06 style tailights from optionracing.

Thanks

PS I still own my 98 Camry LE L4 - w/ 252k miles!!

Welcome to the club.. Sounds like you got a pretty good deal.

Your LS should have had a timing belt replaced at 90K. That would be the biggest issue I would research. If it has not been replaced you should have it done.

Your taillight addition will get mixed reviews on this forum.. Just remember it is YOUR LS and it does not matter what other people think.. If you like it, that's all that matters. You will absolutely love this car.. Have fun with it. Like the commercial says.. "When you turn your car on, does it return the favor" and the answer is "Why Yes it does"

Of course that is not a Lexus commercial but it should have been..

In regards to your speakers, you can replace them with after market.. Look at crutchfield.com and see what they have to offer.
