shadysprings
As you can see from the picture, one of the studs snapped off and I am trying to replace it. Not to mention the rotor needs to be surfaced. After taking the caliper off the rear, I can't pull the rotor off. Can someone tell me if I need to remove the nut "A" off in order to slide the rotor off? And anyone know the size of bolt "B" I assume used to help unstick a stuck rotor to the hub? djspawn00
I don't remember how to take mine off but I do remember needing to encourage it with a rubber mallet... it kinda rusted on there... the rotors were 6 years old...
shadysprings
What happened? There were about 10 posts in this thread including a few pictures of how I removed the rear rotor and changed a stud on hub. Am I crazy or did a bunch of posts get deleted? bucwhokey
no dont remove the A nut just hit the brake disc with a rubber mallet. Its a snug fit. Hole B is a screw with a 10mm thread i think but not really sure
Mike Eder
the bolt hole is 10x1.25 and nut A is what holds the axle in the hub, just hit the rotor with a rubber mallet and replace it, dont resurface.
