haggardbob Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 The 1990 ES250 I purchased in July has been a great car and I love it but when I brake from highway speeds the engine wants to die when I come to a stop. I have to put it in neutral real quick to keep it from stalling. If it were one of my GM cars I would blame it on the lockup convertor not releasing due to brakelight switch or some internal transmission problem. It acts like a 5-speed car that you forgot to step on the clutch. Any suggestions? Bob
