dcheung Posted September 22, 2008 Share Posted September 22, 2008 Right after a cold start, withing 10 secs a strange noise sounds simular to a starter with starting a car when it's already running. This strange noise last about another 10 secs then goes away. It never happens during the day, but only in the morning. Does anyone else have this simular problem. Dealer can locate noise. BlueVaporMist Posted October 2, 2008 Share Posted October 2, 2008 could be the idler/tensioner pulley. it is either that or a heat shield in the exhasut system sowewhere or an exhasut hangar that went bad. i had a land cruiser prior to my LX and it was making a similar noise.
