So I purchased a car cover from carscover.com. It look fairly good and all. But my concern was that what if the cover ruins my paint job that I just got done. Will it? smooth1 Posted September 13, 2008 Share Posted September 13, 2008 Yeah, Bartkat is right. You should wait atleast a month to even a couple of months. And let the car sit out in the direct sun as long as you can to help the paint cure. And don't wax it or anything either. Just wash it with auto soap and water for the first few months as well.
