nanco Posted August 31, 2008 Share Posted August 31, 2008 Hello, this is my first post. I am confused about the available oil filters for my 94 SC300, 2JZ-GE engine. The one my dealer sold me before was a 08922-02011. I understand from posts elsewhere that this filter was made by Purolator in the US and was not so good. The last one I got is a 90915-YZZD1 made in Thailand. Some posts claim the best filter was the # 90915-20004 now replaced by the 90915-YZZD3. I have both and I just replaced the 08922-02011 with the 90915-YZZD1 since they appear identical. 1. Could I have used the 90915-YZZD3, or is that for a different engine/car? 2. Are there any better filter around and if so what are they? Mine is a 94 SC300 bought in 1995. It has 42K miles and is in near new condition. I am to keep it this way. Thanks.
