LEXDOGG Posted December 18, 2003 Share Posted December 18, 2003 About a week ago i filled my car full of gas. the guage read fine until I got home and turned off my car. I them got back in it after 30minutes and i noticed that my fuel guage read empty. i thought I was trippin' , so I checked for leaks and nothing. So i then went back to the gas station and pumped .40 cents into my tank and it was full. i said screw it and drove like that all week untill i almost ran out of gas. obergc Posted December 18, 2003 Share Posted December 18, 2003 You may have a bad capacitor on one of the circuit boards in the instrument cluster although I think it usually is a slow or erroneous reading. It would be the first thing I would check. LexusPete Posted December 18, 2003 Share Posted December 18, 2003 Welcome to the club LEXDOGG. I have a similar problem with my own guage, along with a string of other "Lexus" problems.
