jpilk99
Sorry for what I believe is a common question & topic. My new, (04'), LS430 just lit up the "Maintenance Required" warning. I know this means to change the oil and then reset the warning. I found out how to reset warning light, but, can find info/pictures on the oil pan drain. I'm sure when I climb under the car it will be self evident but if anyone can educate me first I'd appreciate it. Plus, it sounds like it take 4.6 quarts of 5/30 - is that right? Thanks for any help you can lend.
PilotguyPA28
Check your Owner's Manual for the correct amount of oil. I just take mine to Express Oil Change and pay $23 every 5,000 miles. My filter is in a tough spot and extremely hard to get to and they usually spill some on the frame. I make them clean it off with a drying agent. Well worth the $23. I provide an OEM filter. Costs me $5.
trevordbs
doin it yourself atleast once is always nice In my honest opinion. i have a 78 el camino i do all the work to, but when it comes to this lexus(91 ls400) i take it out for just about everything so far. Quick, easy and you dont have to do the clean up. My book says 5/30 with normal weather, and 10/30 with summer heat. California has been a hot one. ;)
