Transmission Question

i have been reading a lot of complaints about transmission problem in this forum. how can i tell if my 99 rx300 is having a transmission problem? the sound of engine, etc.? the only problem i've notice about my rx300 is that it eats too much gas. i am spending around 25-30 a 5 day week. another problem i've noticed are the radio signals. i am thinking of getting an xm satellite radio which read signals through tinted windows. besides the slow upshifting up the hill, i don't see any other problems. my rx300 has 74000 miles on it. I have been reading too many transmission complaints in this forum and it is making worried about my car transmission. And last, this car works great on snow!

74000 miles is just a tad to late to start worrying about transmission problems.

If it was going to happen it would have already.

Now you're good to go for about another 50-100k miles before wearing out the clutches.
