Manchester Posted June 23, 2008 Share Posted June 23, 2008 When I am preparing to drive and the car is out of park my 08 ES350 seems noisy. The sound is a groan/moan. The best example is that I have started the car, engaged reverse - the sound appears. It will go away once I have backed a out of the drive. Once I have stopped, placed the car in drive, and prepare to pull away, the sound will re-appear for just a moment or so. I just turned 8400 miles on the car. Anyone else have the experience? But I did have a Chrysler that did that and it was the transmission shift solenoid making noise when you changed from P to R then R to D. Nothing was wrong just a noisy solenoid that the dealer replaced under warranty. I would suggest you have it looked at by your dealer.
