Trailer Hitch 05 Lx 470

Hi Club,

Just picked up an '05 LX 470 with a 'towing package' but no plate that bolts onto the hitch mount (which is actually the rear crossmember of the truck frame). The factory installled 7 pin wiring mount and tow hooks are in place but no plate to slide into the hitch which would then accept the ball and ball mount.

Anybody had any luck finding this piece/part. Dealer said we could install a new trailer hitch but that seems silly with nearly everything already in place.

My '03 has the holes in the bumper for the bolt-on hitch mount, but came w/ a full towbar bolted to the bottom side of the crossmember. I've since replaced that with a fully integrated steel tow bumper. If you are interested in the towbar, PM me. It's just taking up space in my garage. It's made by Drawtite (same towbar for the '98-05 landcruiser/LX470).
