NYLEXGS400 Posted December 15, 2003 Share Posted December 15, 2003 i am not sure where the amp is located. but if you like bass, go with two L7's. and atleast a 1100 watt amp to feed the beast. i have this in my 99 gs400. it is pretty decent, especially with those heavy cushion seats blocking the bass. good luck!! TWINTURBO619 Posted December 15, 2003 Share Posted December 15, 2003 WELL I HAVE A FIRST GEN GS300/ARISTO AND THIS IS WHERE I FOUND MY FACTORY AMP. WHEN I OPEN MY TRUNK, MY CD CHANGER IS MOLDED WITH THE MAT AND TO THE RIGHT. I HAD TO TAKE OFF THE MAT THAT COVERS THE TIRE, AND THE INTERIOR COVER THAT HUGS TO THE PASSENGER REAR FENDER. THAT'S WHEN THE WHOLE CD CHANGER IS EXPOSED. UNDERNEATH THE CD CHANGER, IS THE FACTORY AMP ON MY CAR. I HAVEN'T SEEN WHERE THE CD CHANGER IS ON THE 2ND GEN GS BUT IF IT'S SIMILAR TO MINE, THAT'S WHERE IT WILL BE. GOOD LUCK. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I dont have a pioneer system with my GS, didnt think they came with it, but check right there. pretty much what Twinturbo said. PIONEERSUBY Posted December 16, 2003 Share Posted December 16, 2003 the pioneer amp is behind the glovebox mounted upright and has a blue, orange and grey connector plug ports on 98gs. the nakamichi amp is in the trunk similar to first generation.
