Plastic Piece In Front Of Rear Tires

Are the clear plastic pieces in front of the rear tires supposed to be removed...or do they serve some purpose. I have had my car for about 2 months and only really notice them when I'm washing it, but then forget about them.

If you mean the strips on the body near the bottom by the wheel openings, they're stone protection. Leave them on.
