E-brake Light

hey guys. lately the emergency brake symbol on my dash is staying lit up when i drive, and when i take the e-brake off when i put it in gear the light stays on. and i make sure the e-brake is totally out. but it won't go off. any suggestions.

Simple microswitch, limit switch adjustment.

I have to spray WD-40 on the linkage[under the dash] about every 3-4 months--this is because at that point in time the release has to be pulled 2-3 times to make the bulb go off (the 1st pull releases the brakes). Don't think this would work if the bulb never went out, but might try....

Just don't like to pull it 2-3 times !!!!

Also I had rather do that than stand on my head trying to get to the linkage for an adjustment, etc.

wwest its simple?? can u elaborate a little?? thanks tan. but i do pull it 3-4 times but nothing i do will get the light off. the brake is all the way out but nothing seems to get the light off. also tan did u see the center caps i was talking about on that sight??

Saw the caps--but thought the thread was just about the plastic gold logo inserts, since they weren't in the gold package bought on e-bay. I would be interested in just these also, but I think the only way they can be had is within the total gold package(or at least was).

If you see these anywhere, advise----mine are dullish !!!!

if u can't find em on lexus-parts.com then ebay is ur best bet. thought of anything else about the light??? i'll try the wd-40 to loosen it up, but i don't think that'll fix the problem
