timothy Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 hello, I have a 04 e 330, 49000 miles. need new tires. I want quite long lasting good ride tires. Live in Michigan, crappy roads and snow. have toyo spectrum now. noisy bad in snow. stock size. Michelin mxv4 sounds like the best tire, just wondering if anything else is out that is good. going to keep the car. great car. any help would be great. learned so much from this site. thanks Tim
Lexusfreak Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 I would consider either the Michelin Primacy MXV4's (they are a newer model compared to the Energy MXV4's with a longer treadlife) or the Goodyear Triple Tred. More info below... Michelin Pilot Primacy MXV4: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?ti...;speed_rating=V Goodyear Triple Tred: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?ti...;speed_rating=V The Goodyear will trump the Michelin bigtime in the fowl weather department (especially in snow & heavy rain as the tread pattern is much more aggressive). The Michelin will be the overall quieter tire with slightly better handling. Those are the very best two available for what your looking for.
mburnickas Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 I need some tires since my proxies only last about 50K on the ES. Have to get the MXV4 next month.
timothy Posted April 28, 2008 Author Posted April 28, 2008 thanks for the help. I have toyo spectrum on the es now 20000 miles on them, noisy, my 04 Impala with Goodyear integrity are quieter with 18000 miles. my es does not handle good on certain roads with the toyos tires, just rotated, alignment is good. i think I'll go with the Michelin. thanks again for the info. take care. Tim
