'01 Rx300 Gps Navigation Upgrade?

Hello everyone!

I am a new Lexus owner as I just purchased a 2001 RX300. I love it - other than it did not come with the GPS Navigation system.

I would love to have this as I do A LOT of traveling, especially out of state. Is it possible to upgrade? Are there any contacts you can provide me rather than a dealer that will charge me full list price on the GPS system? Are there any ways to find these used or refurbished??

Not only would you have to add the system, but you would also have to change the dash covers and center stack because they are different from the Non-Navi version.

It may be a better choice for you at this point to add an aftermarket system.

Hi Everyone,

I also have a 2001 RX300 with navigation system software v2000. It's great except the navigation started to act crazy. It's going everywhere except your input destination. It's wacked. At least, it still knows its current position. It seems like it needs a software upgrade. Where can find, other than the Lexus dealer, the upgrade? Appreciate the help. Thanks, Stephen.
