The Kid Posted April 19, 2008 Share Posted April 19, 2008 hey my brother has an ls 430 and somehow the smartkey isnt working so that you dontt have to pluug itt in to start the engine and all youu needed to do was turn the knob. now he always has to plug in the key... is there any way it can be used without having to insert the key again? like I said, he unknowingly deactivated it... thanks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
DClK Posted April 20, 2008 Share Posted April 20, 2008 first question, did he try replacing the battery in the key fob? about a month ago my ls430 error message display warned me that my battery in the smart key fob was getting low. there also is a smart key push button cancel switch partially hidden from view at the bottom of the instrument panel by the gas pedal. hope that helps Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
