604lexi Posted April 16, 2008 Share Posted April 16, 2008 hey just wondering if anybody has had this problem... the engine kept dying on my 99' lx so i changed the battery. the engine is still dying, does it mean that the truck is adapting to the new battery? or is there a problem with the alternator? Strange, your truck should NEVER die. Could be the alternator. Is it dying only at idle? And secondly when you come to a stop do all the electronics and A/C cut off first and the engine bog down?
