Aftermarket Spoilers And Cheap Brake Lights

I searched the forums a long time but haven't found this specific issue. A year ago I bought an '03 GS 300. I asked the dealer to put on a spoiler and last week, the LED brake lamp stopped working. The dealer's body shop that installed the spoiler said that the lamp has gone bad and that I should replace it. Simple enough right? The vendor that the dealership used tells me that they cannot sell the brake lamp only; I must buy the entire spoiler. They couldn't even identify the manufacturer. I'm now waiting to hear back from a local trim shop that is trying to help me out but honestly, if I want a spoiler with a working brake lamp, it looks like I may have to buy a whole new spoiler. Has anybody out there ever gone through this before? What did you do?
