Tennis
I bought my Lexus 330 2 years ago new. A couple weeks ago I noticed rust on the edge of the trunk. I took it to the dealer, and they said looking closer they could identify several more areas of rust over the trunk. The said it was from brake dust filings being embedded into the paint. They told me they'd do an acid bath and then reseal the paint even though the warranty didn't cover it after a year. Well, after a few days at home I noticed more areas of rust on the trunk and left rear quarter panel behind the rear tire. So, I took it back and told them they did a poor job and/ or Lexus has a design defect with it brakes or the paint job on the trunk is poor and it is rusting. It is unlikely rust is actually coming through as the rear quarter panel is metal...so I'm not sure what the problem is. Has anyone else experienced a simlar problem?
