Bandit Posted December 3, 2003 Posted December 3, 2003 Just curious, does anyone know what the MSRP for the SC300 and SC400's were from 1992-2000? This might confirm some of the bargains that we are getting on these Sport Coupes!
SPORTcoupe300 Posted December 3, 2003 Posted December 3, 2003 My 96 SC300 5spd with all options except heated seats went out the door for roughly $47,000 7 years (and 100k miles) later I bought it for $11,000 with extra 18" rims (worth $1000) and installed Eibachs ($500)
AWJ Posted December 3, 2003 Posted December 3, 2003 Deja Vu??? Oh this was one of those lost threads I think. 50g's yo!
JRFiero Posted December 3, 2003 Posted December 3, 2003 My 93 SC300 5spd, leather and sunroof, had a MSRP very close to 38,600. Not what I paid! :) The NADA value stayed above what I paid for 14 months! (I check every month with my Credit Union just for the heck of it). Soon after I bought it in Sept 93 the MSRP on luxury Japanese cars started to go up because of tariffs or something - anybody remember this?
JRFiero Posted December 3, 2003 Posted December 3, 2003 OK, I looked up this tariff deal. The Clinton Administration threatened a 100% tariff on Japanese cars costing above $30,000. The imposition of this tariff was averted, so it probably wasn't the cause of the price increases I remember. Musta been a dollar/yen thing, or somethin'.
SC400SunDevil Posted December 4, 2003 Posted December 4, 2003 My 93 SC400 w/ sunroof and heated sets was 50K, I have the sticker too.
johnny3 Posted December 4, 2003 Posted December 4, 2003 My 96 SC300 listed for 49,987, I have the window sticker.
