Kevin Wasserman Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 I'm trying to install an aftermarket stereo into my 1998 LS400. (non-nakamichi). Does anyone make a wiring harness for this car? I tried one I got off ebay but it didn't fit. Since then, I've been unable to locate one that will fit. If no one makes it I can wire it directly, but then I have a few other questions. Does the non-nakamichi model also have an amplifier (i.e., do I need to wire the speakers to the pre-out on my stereo instead of the amplified output?) Where is the amplifier mounted in the car? Does anyone know if the alpine ainet mp3 6 cd-changer fits where the stock in-dash cd changer goes? Thanks in advance!
wjlevan Posted August 17, 2016 Posted August 17, 2016 Bump for having the same problem. Has anyone figured out a way to get an aftermarket stereo to work with the non-nakamichi system?
