First post here, great board!

Just leased a new 2008 GX470 with Navi this morning (taking delivery in a couple of days).

My question is regarding the Ipod interface.

Will I be able to control it through the NAV screen?

Will it charge the Ipod while plugged in, or is it just an aux jack? (our ML500 is that way, just an aux plug located in the glove box, no capability of controlling from the NAV screen or charging it).

Thanks in advance for your replies,

Paul

I just got the Vais Tech installed. It works very well and sounds very well. The only negative is that you can only browse the nav screen by playlist not album or artist. I have just setup a playlist for each artist to alleviate that problem. It charges it and everything. if you have any questions please let me know.

Thanks, not sure if I will do this yet.

We'll see when I get the truck (should be arriving at the port today, then it needs to be prepped & inspected, and hopefully delivered to my home by tomorrow).

Thanks again for the info.

You will like thew IPod interface that VAIS makes; easy to install (there's a writeup in this forum); a 'mod' to the install write up: the SLI will 'tuck' to the right of the glove box, 'between' the glove box opening trim & a wire harness. fits very well. Used some felt to protected harness & some foam to keep SLI in-place. Remove 'angle' mount from side of SLI before tucking.
