2008 Gs350 Gps Data Is Still Quite Old

Just bought a 2008 GS350 last month. Check in the GPS system and want to find my address. I have moved in the house for one year and all the maps online have my address. But I can not find it in my GPS system. It is V7.1 GEN 5, the latest one that Lexus has.

I was so disappointed and call the dealer, dealer said that GPS comes with the car, the don;t make any change. I asked if they offer a FREE upgrade, they said NO.

I then called Lexus to complain the problem, they response, but still can not give an answer.

My advice that we need to check the GPS next time before we bought the car. Or ask them to offer a FREE update one time at least. Or you will have to spend money on a new car just because you got the old data in your GPS.

All built in GPS are like that, the maps are updated every 2 or 3 years and release the year after that. Just enter a coordinate, you can save address with the coordinate in the 7.1, or you can just sit in your driveway and save current position.
